Low-Voltage & Security Systems Health Monitoring

Low-voltage systems health monitoring that proves everything actually works.

Know what's failing. Fix it faster. Prove everything is working. IOSentra watches your cameras, recorders, access control, intercoms, networks, UPS and building systems around the clock - and gets the right technician moving before a silent failure becomes tomorrow's problem.

  • Recording segments verified
  • Frames analyzed, never stored
  • Per-tenant isolation
The Problem

The camera was on. The recording wasn't there.

CCTV fails silently. The REC light is lit, the dashboard is green - and the first time anyone checks is the day after the break-in.

  1. Every camera reports online and recording - the wall is fully green.
  2. CAM-09 at the loading dock still reports online, with its recording flag on.
  3. IOSentra queries the recorder and reads the actual recording segments.
  4. Verified reality: no recording segment exists between 03:07 and 03:11.
  5. A critical incident is created for the recording gap on CAM-09.

Silent failures, discovered only when the footage is already gone.

  • The recording flag lies

The recorder reports recording - while the disk writes nothing. No error, no alarm. Just missing footage on the day it's needed.

  • Dead cameras go unnoticed

A camera drops on a Friday night. Nobody watches 400 tiles - it's found weeks later, during an investigation.

  • Clocks drift, evidence dies

A recorder drifts six minutes from real time. The clip exists, but its timestamp no longer stands up as evidence.

  • Storage quietly overwrites

Disks fill and fail, retention shrinks. The 30 days you promised became 9 - and nobody owns the fix.

  • Networks take security down

A dying switch or a flapping link silently disconnects a whole site - while every console still shows green.

  • Issues sit unresolved for days

The fault was noticed. Then it lived in someone's inbox - no owner, no deadline, no proof it was fixed.

The Solution

One engine that proves your security systems work.

One engine for the whole low-voltage estate: deep recording verification for your video systems, health and liveness checks for everything else that answers on the network - and every failure becomes an owned, tracked incident.

From Verified Fault to Signed-Off Fix

The fault is proven. Then someone specific owns it.

Health Monitoring finds the fault and proves it's real. Contract-aware dispatch turns it into a ticket owned by the technician your vendor contract names, with that vendor's SLA clock already running - and the fix is re-verified before the ticket closes.

The verification engine

Service Desk

The fault becomes a ticket - and the ticket goes to the technician your contract says owns it, with their SLA already running.

  • Routing to the named technician on the specific vendor contract
  • Per-vendor, per-priority SLA clocks with L1-L4 escalation
  • External technicians work their jobs in our mobile app, on site
  • Verified closure - the original check re-runs before the ticket closes

The Service Desk is also available on its own - if today you only need dispatch and vendor SLAs, start there and add Health Monitoring later.

Capabilities

Eight ways a security system fails. Eight checks that catch it.

Every check produces hard evidence - a verified recording, a measured drift, a real image - not a status light you're asked to trust.

Recording verification

Confirms real recording segments exist on the recorder itself - not just the recording flag.

Heartbeat & offline

Device and per-channel liveness - a dead camera becomes a fault within minutes, not weeks.

Image-quality checks

Real frames analyzed for blur, no-signal, frozen image and scene change (camera moved).

Clock-drift detection

Recorder time versus real time - so timestamps hold up when footage becomes evidence.

Storage & retention

Disk health, capacity forecasts and retention compliance against the days you promised.

Network & servers

Switches, servers and recorder infrastructure watched alongside the cameras - the failures that take whole sites dark.

Incident automation

Faults auto-open deduplicated incidents with AI root-cause insight - and auto-resolve when cleared.

Service desk & SLA

Tickets, vendors, contracts and escalation levels - with SLA countdowns that keep everyone honest.

The Low-Voltage Estate

One watchful eye over everything you run.

From the camera on the fence to the UPS in the rack - if it lives on the low-voltage estate and can fail, IOSentra can watch it, ticket it and get it fixed.

  • CCTV & video surveillance
  • Access control
  • Intrusion detection
  • Perimeter protection
  • Intercom & public address
  • Networking infrastructure
  • Servers & storage
  • UPS & power
  • Building management & elevators
  • Multi-site operations
Recording Verification

We don't trust the recording flag.

IOSentra goes to the recorder and checks that the footage is actually there - camera by camera, on the schedule you choose. If a recording is missing, you'll know within minutes, not months.

  • Checks the actual recordings on the recorder - not a status light
  • Every camera verified on your schedule - as often as every 60 seconds
  • A gap becomes an incident, pointing at the exact camera
  • Re-verified automatically the moment recording resumes
  • See the anatomy of one verification pass

In Operation

From silent failure to signed-off fix.

What an incident looks like on IOSentra - from the first missed segment to a re-verified recording.

  1. 03:12, Fault

    A camera stops recording

The verification pass finds no fresh segment for Cam-09 - while the recording flag still says fine.

  2. 03:13, Detect

    The gap becomes an incident

IOSentra opens INC-2043 against the right device, deduplicated - one incident, not an alarm storm.

  3. 03:13, Diagnose

    AI points at the cause

Root cause: switch port down on the loading-dock run, 86% confidence - with a concrete recommendation attached.

  4. 03:14, Dispatch

The right vendor gets the ticket

Auto-routing opens a P1 ticket with the contracted vendor - SLA countdown running, escalation armed.

  5. 06:40, Verified

    Recording confirmed. Case closed.

The technician replaces the switch; IOSentra re-verifies real segments and closes the loop - fully audited.

Video Assurance

A green status isn't a good image.

IOSentra pulls a real frame and checks what a human would: is it sharp, is it live, is it still pointing where it should?

  • Blur

    lens dirty or defocused

  • No signal

    flat or black frame

  • Frozen

    stuck image, stale scene

  • Scene change

    camera moved or blocked

Live video wall

Live view with snapshot fallback - see any camera the moment a check raises doubt.

Frames are checked in memory and discarded. IOSentra never stores your footage - only an irreversible numeric fingerprint.

AI Insight

Root cause, not just a red light.

Every incident carries an AI insight: probable root cause, a concrete recommendation and a confidence score - from rules or a local model, never your video in someone else's cloud.

AI assists - evidence decides. Every insight cites the checks behind it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is CCTV health monitoring?

CCTV health monitoring continuously checks that your cameras, recorders, storage and network are actually working - not just powered on. IOSentra goes further and verifies that real recording segments exist on the recording system, so you know the footage will be there when you need it.

How does IOSentra prove cameras are really recording?

Instead of trusting the recording indicator, IOSentra searches the recording system for fresh recording segments on a schedule you set. If no new segment exists for a camera, an incident is opened for the exact device - before missing footage becomes a problem.

Which vendors and systems are supported?

IOSentra ships drivers for the leading video vendor families, including ONVIF, Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha Vision, Milestone XProtect, Bosch BVMS, Avigilon Unity, NX Witness, Verkada, Uniview, Vivotek, ExacqVision, Wavestore, Digifort and Axxon One. Beyond video, it monitors health and liveness for access control, intercom, UPS, building systems, elevators and any IP device - plus a service desk that manages any equipment from any vendor.

Can IOSentra monitor systems beyond CCTV?

Yes. Video systems get the deepest treatment - recording verification against the recorder itself. The rest of the low-voltage estate - access control, intercom and PA, UPS and power, building management, elevators and any device with an IP address - gets health and liveness monitoring over ping, SNMP and native protocols, with the same incidents, tickets and SLAs when something fails.

Does IOSentra store our camera footage?

No. Frames are analyzed in memory and discarded - only a small numeric fingerprint is kept. IOSentra proves your footage exists without ever holding a copy of it.

Can we use the Service Desk without the monitoring product?

Yes. The Service Desk runs standalone for any operation - tickets, vendors, contracts and SLAs for IT, building, electrical and more. Add Health Monitoring later, and verified CCTV faults open tickets automatically.

How long does it take to get started?

Minutes. Point IOSentra at a reachable recording system, or install the edge agent on the site network for isolated environments. Cameras are discovered automatically and the first verified health score arrives within minutes.

Ready to take control?

Every camera records. Every device communicates. Every issue is tracked. Every ticket is resolved.
